stunning location. Fabulous hotel. Couldn't of been a better place for my bosses wedding.
We stayed as part of a wedding party and found the hotel very charming and comfortable. The beds in particular were very comfy and the Nespresso type coffee machine in the room was a nice touch. The only let down for me was the food during the wedding breakfast. The chicken was very dry like it had been held on the warmer for too long before serving. Overall though, a very nice hotel with stunning views over the lake.
It has a good view but that's about it. For the price you would expect a certain standard but the hotel is simply style over substance. The reception staff are great, however the restaurant and bar staff are poor. The most serious issue is the heat, the whole hotel is simply unbearable making sleeping virtually impossible even with the windows wide open. We stayed in a far cheaper and superior guest house the previous night. Save your money and book elsewhere. You can walk the two extra minutes for the view.
The afternoon tea is amazing. I have been twice now and nothing disappoints. I haven't stayed in any of the rooms so can't comment on those but both the main dining area and the private dining rooms have been incredible. Staff are very attentive and the food is amazing.
