This place is lovely. Lovely food, staff are friendly and helpful.
I've been going here for at least 20 years, and the standard has always been excellent. After a change of ownership a couple of years ago I was worried, but having kept mostly the same staff, the food and service has remained excellent. It's the best fillet steak that I have ever had, and ice had a LOT around the world, nowhere beats theirs!
Went for a meal here last evening.Hadn't booked and had already been turned away from a couple of restaurants. The lady proprietor was so lovely and said she would fit us in if we came back in half an hour. I'm so glad we did. All the staff were so friendly and efficient and the food was delicious and reasonable. Honestly some of the best Italian food we've ever had. Loved the atmosphere of the place too. Highly recommended. Our new go to restaurant in Bowness!

Really good food! Tastes fresh and it's not greasy at all. The service is amazing. The toilets are really nice and clean as well. Perfect after a long hike!
