Great for short holidays with plenty of eating looking over the hill to the windermere lake with plenty of walks for lite walkers and expeditions. Rooms for all size families with bunk beds and some rooms are on-suite. Allot of car park spaces close to the hostel.It's not really anywhere near windermere small kitchen not anywhere near public transportation. experience of youth Hostels depends on who's their. Probably will change if u go a second time.Price depends in room not expensive but depends on which night some days 30 but others 120 same with all yha's. cheaper with a yha card if u go often
Friendly staff, good clean modern facilities. Bit out of the way if you don't have a car. Stayed in a tipi - excellent with warm beds, a log burner and solar powered lighting. Dog friendly in the tipis and camp site - our lab loved it.
Great hostel. Staff were really helpful. Clean with all usual facilities. Location and weather were good too.
Another diamond will go there again next year. The manager told us all about the history of the building and surrounding land. Very clean and comfortable.
Camping with stunning views. Installations are good (toilets, showers and kitchen), and they have a bycicle shed. A great place to go with children. Not easy to reach if not in a car.
