Called in for early bird menu , food well prepared , staff very helpful , started off with calamari which was very scrummy , then had the scampi with home cooked chips very nice , finished with a latte
Slightly pricey but club Sandwich is highly recommended. Good selection of lager beer but no real ale (that I could see)
Reserved a table for 10 adults plus one high chair for baby. They had set us up on the high bench table with stools so not suitable for kids at all as she couldn't even reach the table. They were too busy to move us so had to eat with baby sat on our knee.FoodTapas food was decent but burgers were over cooked. Staff were otherwise attentive.No baby change facilities at all either so you have to change them at the table or on the toilet floor but as toilets are very small and not that clean best using a table in the bar.Overall very disappointing.
Walked down from Windermere on a very cold frosty day. Saw this pub slightly up a hill which looked inviting. Was going to sit outside as there were plenty of patio heaters but thankfully dogs were allowed indoors. Welcoming surroundings, added bonus a real fire and the most delicious Pina Colada. The cocktails are rather expensive unless you come when they have 2 for 1 on but we were too early. We ordered food which was all delicious and generous portions. Would definitely recommend this bar, barman very friendly and table service too, we will definitely returnx
Great food, great cocktails, great atmosphere, great service, and great prices. Their food is hearty, and their cocktails are packed with flavour (they are a must-have, if you ever drop by!). Service is impeccable - we were a group of 4, and we availed 2 lots of the "starter and a main for 12" deal, and they gave us our own plates, plated the food as if it was for each one of us (I'm pretty sure that they gave us extra too!). Would definitely recommend if you're in the area.
