Nice homely pub with open fires. Very dog friendly which is great.I had the carvery. Lamb was fantastic, veg was out of a tin and roast potatoes were frozen, microwave/warm up things. Staff were helpful but didnt really seeminterested and were a little unconcerned. Didnt ask if food was OK. Probably would stop by for a pint again but not food.
Good food.. and for the area not badly priced too.. they allowed dogs.. which didnt affect myself but again for the area this would be most liked by the tourists

Just had a great meal there tonight. Great pub grub at great prices. There steak and ale pie was served hot and was tasty and there Apple crumble with custard was brilliant. Just what I want on a cold November night. Bar was cozy with a fire. The barmaid was friendly and welcoming. Love the old country pub look
Nice atmosphere, good beer and friendly staff. Didn't have any food but we were very tempted when we saw the portions. Dog friendly too.
