Super friendly service, great for kids. Food was spot on. ALAN is a god among men and the kids loved him. Highly recommended
Lovely staff. Food is very good although I don't recommend their burgers as they have quite a bit of gristle. The onion rings were VERY greasy, so I couldn't eat them. Their squid is very good and the fillet steak is delicious! Their desserts are very generous, but thankfully they can box the leftovers up for you to take away. I was disappointed with the lack of soft drink selection and no baby changing facilities that I could see, but I would come here again and just order something different.
The tables in the cafe area near the bar were too dressed up for casual diners, wine glasses with napkins in, white table cloths and large candle holders. We felt uncomfortable. Ambient music played smooth jazz in the bar area, however, Michael McIntyre's big night out TV show was blaring out of speakers in the toilets! Confused!
Booked in for Xmas dinner 2018 with two dogs. The manager Alan gave us a great table in the bar. We were well looked after the table was beautifully set and even Xmas presents for our two dogs . The Xmas dinner was quite different but enjoyable...the only thing a would mention on the mains plate were 2 huge onion rings the biggest I've ever seen...I thought it was strange but then I thought it might have been some kind of tradition ! All in all we had a lovely time thanks to Alan and his team..
Easy to find. Warm and welcoming. Has log burning stove. Good choice of food which was served well presented and hot.Lively choice of tempting deserts.Staffed checked to ensure we were satisfied with food/service. Toilet facilities clean and well maintained.
