Very pretty but beware that it's a pay and display, it's not cheap, and it doesn't take notes or card! Pretty absurd in the 21st century. Staff are great and the grounds are pretty though
Beautiful place, particularly good in summer where there is plenty of space for children to run round and the park is good. I've been coming here all my life and it's always been a family favourite. Having some renovations work done currently but still a beautiful area.
Nice grounds not many flowers.Good views, very busy with thronging crowds in warm weather not much room to park. Can access lake easily.
Great place for access to the bottom end of Windermere, canoe & rowing boat hire in summer. Launch facilities if you have your own boat. Open wooded parkland with adventure playground, cafe & shop. My preferred place to launch my yacht.
Lovely views from the pleasant surroundings at this park. The National Trust have obviously invested somewhat since my last visit here. There is a cafe, shop, toilets/changing rooms and more to accommodate the various activities available. There is a dedicated area to fresh water swimming which I hadn't seen before. There is also a lot of parking space for a small fee (free to National Trust members). Would be a good place for a picnic and/or a short walk just outside Windermere.
